# OpenSOC: Camp COVID

Hello OpenSOC fam! First and most importantly, we hope that you and yours are healthy and happy in these unprecedented times.

As many of you [noticed on Twitter](https://twitter.com/Recon_InfoSec/status/1241370942246391808?s=20) or heard on [Detections podcast](https://blog.reconinfosec.com/recon-appears-on-detections-podcast/), we're rallying together to host a first-ever, open to the public OpenSOC event that participants can access from anywhere! With all of the social distancing and working-from-home, it seemed appropriate to provide folks a way to sharpen their skills and have a little fun amidst the chaos of having new "coworkers" running around and video-bombing your conference calls!

The event will take place on April 9th, specific hours TBD. Due to heavy demand, we may have to limit signups at a certain point to prevent over-taxing our systems!
